For Ontario, Quebec, and upper NY state boaters, there's a slalom race on June 10 at Palmer Rapids (Ontario).
The race will be quite relaxed. Cost is $25/boat and this gives you 2 runs. K1, C1, OC1, OC2 will all be racing that day. There will be a lot of kids and teens at this event. The location is a class 2 river -- not too pushy. It is considered an easy location. The event is sanctioned by Whitewater Ontario, and being organized by Ottawa River Runners, a slalom club in Ottawa.
Camping is available at Palmer Rapids -- $10/tent/night. Registration is on-site, probably on Jun 9 and maybe first thing in the morning on June 10.
Setup of the course is Friday Jun 8, and help would be greatly appreciated.
