I've been learning (trying anyway) the blunt. I have a much easier time doing them to my offside than to my onside. It seems when I try them on my onside I can't get the rotation without pulling myself off the wave. Not having a blade to give a power stroke to start down the wave and also initiate the rotation. When going offside I can take a stroke on my right (onside) and that helps start the rotation. Can anyone offer advice. playak.com used to have some video of some c-1 tricks but I can't seem to locate the video on that site anymore.
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks

Blunts
I know there's a video on Drakkar's site of the wheelboy doing lots of blunts...anyways I think it's still on there

I still take a stroke on my onside. I think the key is a snappy rotation and a quick edge transfer. It's much easier to get lazy since you have a paddle blade to pull you around but the more you rely on your paddle, the more chance you'll get pulled off the wave. Make sure you commit fully to the rotation and lead with your head. I always look back off the opposite corner of the wave when I blunt.
