“Vertical Challenge” – Open Canoe Division!
At Eddyflower.com

Hey folks,
We’re starting an open canoe division in the Vertical Challenge competition, open to everybody across the U.S. and Canada. This is a great opportunity for canoers to be a part of, and represent in, one of the most exciting and successful whitewater competitions in North America. With the successful opening of a canoe division this year, we will continue to have the division year after year… so let’s make it happen! Whether you call yourself a gnarly open boater, or an avid weekend canoer, let’s see what you’ve got. Make a team with your buds and go out and have a good time competing for a good cause, and just to celebrate whitewater paddling.

Though the competition has already begun, the open canoe division will have its own starting date of May 27th, ending June 15th, for 20 days to paddle as much vertical feet that you and your buddies can muster. At the end of the event the team in the open canoe division with the most vertical feet will be crowned champion. We are also in the process of getting canoe specific sponsors to contribute canoe gear as prizes as well.

Sign up as soon as you can! From anywhere in North America, its simple to register your team and log your progress, it just takes a few clicks on the web site… that’s it. Go to www.eddyflower.com, to the Events link, under Vertical Challenge, and register your team. Register under the “Open” division, then we’ll move you over to the “Open Canoe” division once its ready. Remember this though, come up with any name you like for your team, but be sure to include the word “canoe” in your team’s name. Then also send me an email, so that I can do my part in setting up the division. Once we get a few teams signed up, we will be able to list the open canoe division on the competition site (it’s not listed right now). Be sure to read the event details, for rules and other stuff you need to know. www.eddyflower.com
