How old is your Fly?
The archives list 2002 as the year of introduction for the Pyranha Spanish Fly. When did Savage start with them?

Frankie and I did the Spanish Fly and Prelude in my shop in Erwin. The Fly was first and was sold to Deperate Measures/ Mobile Adventure in England around May 20000. They later bought the Prelude design as well. We were to import and distribute on our side of the pond, but plastic issues could not be resolved. Both designs were sold again to Pyrahna. Frankie had begun work with Robson and of course made the CU Fly for the '02 worlds.

Fly/Prelude
Out of curiousity, how many of the Mobile Adventure Preludes made it over to the US? I recently bought one of them off another poster here on the board...
So, you go rafting with that thing? Uh...yeah.

Ok
Skeeter was first, Spanish Fly was second both by Savage and the Super Fly was last and I don't think Savage made it. Only Parana and then Robison and now Esquif has the mold. The three bug boats. Dick( AKA Jeff Richard has had all three and still has at one of each call him for more info 865 986 5613.
Re: Ok
No no Señor... once upon a time there was a Super Fly, and then when the worlds was in Barcelona, this boat was dialed in for that hole - and called the Spanish Fly (Si)
BTW... I still have an un-outfitted (brand new) Super Fly, set back for future use.

Savage V made the Skeeter which was followed by the SuperFly. Then, by my unserstanding, Savage V went bust.
Colin Broadway from Mobile Adventure over here in the UK then took it on and launched Sauvage (to give it a more european name due to it's new home) in about May 2000 and launched the Spanishfly which debuted in the UK just before the 2000 Pre-Worlds at Sort. This boat was made from a three piece fibreglass moulds and had more aggressive outer rails on the hull.
Then in 2001 Mobile Adventure sold the rights to the boat to Pyranha who made an aluminium mould with a slightly different boat design. The mould was a two piece with the seam down the centre of the deck and with slightly different rails to help the boat release from the mould easier. The overall shape was identical except for the hull.
Then last year Pyranha sold the mould to Esquif who are now making them and these boats are the same (?) as the ones that Pyranha used to produce.
The original Prelude debuted over here in the UK in August 2000 and again was sold to Pyranha in 2001 who sold it with no changes to the design.
Hope that helps,
Jamie
