KNeal, that stinks man :( You can still come hang out & play shuttle bunny, you just can't tie the boats on...but come to think of it, you didn't tie the boats on last year

Come on now, could we get a few more votes. I know most folks don't vote & show up whichever date it is, but seeing as KNeal busted himself up & he voted for 4/25-26, that puts us w/ 4 votes for that weekend & 3 for each of the others. I KNOW more folks than that are coming.

Ooh - missed that - so sorry to hear that - you've got to be careful with those other sports, can't go letting them interfere with the important one! Here's to a speedy recovery...

At this point, if I could recast my vote it would be for Memorial Day.

I voted 4/25-26. But I'll make it whenever it happens.

Kneal, Speedy recovery to ya. Theat is a nasty injury that I'm sure will take awhile. I busted myself up pretty bad on skis about 6 weeks ago but not nearly as nasty as your incident. Mine involved entering a mogul field from the side at 30+ mph cause i couldn't see it due to flat light. Took the impact to the illiac crest. When the bruising finally surfaced and drained, it when so far south as to give a new meaning to the term "blue balls" :o

The earlier the better, as I missed last year due last minute grad school class scheduling. :x (expletive). I will make all effort to attend both events this year. I will tell the proffessors I had a team building exercise planned weeks in advance, and it takes precedent over sitting in a room with no windows for 8 hours, watching pp slides given to the profs. by the text book company.

jimN, can I try out your zoom? :P

It's not hard, comparable to the Nantahala, if you are familiar with that, with some nice play spots. It's been picked because it's scheduled (and we can count on it) and it is suitable for a wide range of paddlers. And it's not too far from other runs like the Cheat, Yough, etc.

Sounds good, very familiar with Nanty. I guess Savage River for camping? Also, looks like you come up through VA from SC. What is the fastest way up through WVA? I was looking at 219 or 220, I know 219 takes forever, curvey with trucks...

I usually go I-77 - I-81 - Winchester and take US-50 west. Don't know if that is the best but it works.
