Mohawk Canoes moving to Chatt.

Post by 2opnboat1 »

Mohawk has officiallly started moving to Chatt. We are bringing the mfg part, home to the SE. Our sales office has been here for a few years now; our hope is that this will allow us to spend more time in the R&D end of the industry. If our plans workout (even half flower butted) there will be no down time in the shipment of boats. We are very excited about this move and hope for many years at this location.

If a new boat is pickup up at your Chattanooga facility to be taken out of state, is it necessary to pay TN sales tax?

Will there still be manufacturing in Ft. Smith as well or are total operations to be in Chatt.?

All of the mfg.ing will be in Chatt. in the next 3 to 4 months. There will be no down time on the shipping of boats. The boys out in Ft. Smith will continue to build boats out there. Until the Chatt palant is up, then everything will move.
