i just got back from WVA last night. i took a a bunch of my kayaker friends creeking. we all got up to glade creek about 2 in the morning to find out there was no possible way we were going to get the Jetta down that canyon. we ended up sleeping next to the put-in in hopes we might meet someone that would be able to help us out in the morning. well at 10 the next morning who do we meet..... a bunch of kayakers, and Bernie! their were about 10 of us, an fortunitly bernie and i were there to make sure all of those two plankers could figure out the lines the creek was really fun. it drops about 125 feet a mile, and has several 10+ foot drops on it. there were also a few nice slides. the water was a little low, but still fun. i can wait to get back and run it again! i also got to take a look at bernies fluid tech. paddle. its a really nice blade, and i think ill be ordering one this week!
after we got off the river my friends and i headed up to the yough, and had a ball bombing down the upper. i was the only one that had run it, and i have never shown anyone the lines before. fortunitly everything went smoothly, and i now have some friends that are hooked on west virginia creeking thanks a lot bernie and crew. cant wait to paddle with ya again. --- joey

Glade Creek
This section of Glade is 165' mile. The next time you come up to paddle give me a call at 304 438-5145 and you won't have to rely on fate. We have a lot of good creeks in the area and the one behind my house starts with a 24 footer.
