Don't even have to play it... its Jeff from Chatty : )

I wish you could have seen Mike Cawood in a Royalex Edge at hellhole then, he would "get beered up" and then play tag with the bridge doing enders.

Sometimes he would hit so hard on his head landing back on the water, he would be punch drunk.

Frankie would just shake his head.

I begged him to get in the Rodeo

and true to GDI fashion.

his comment: "Rodeo is g@y"

he's now a Baptist Preacher in Cleveland.

That is hades hole from the ocoee rodeo. Either 1991 or 1992.

That was insane air! I thought I got good air there in my spark. That extra 2' of boat and air bags makes a big difference.

It makes me want to take an edge with huge air bag into hades hole this summer...

Dooley the same setup that Mike had ,Roger Scott had /has hanging in his shop, maybe like 2 years ago?

Roger might be hanging onto it. Roger gave him the seed money to get started and I think it was Frankie's thank you to Roger, but it might be for sale. All Team Edge outfitting in it btw.

This is no lie. I had to drive Mike home one day after a hard landing. It use to be insane watching him abuse himself there.

The only other person I saw get air like that (but still not close) and it was Sammy Rogers at the old slam dunk, in a glass edge, and Sammy hurt his neck landing there. We weren't sure if it was a rock or just the water when Sammy hit. There was a rock there, but I still think Sammy wasn't near it.Just that much air.You could also loop a 14 Mirage kayak there too.

Sammy could get the whole boat outta the water and land it on you in the eddy.

But Mike Cawood's antics were "Pre-Jacka$$ MTV stunts"

John "Hollywood " Hollerad (sp?) would be there building Mike up with praise just to do something stupid. Then it was on : )

I think I've heard stories of someone from the S.E. that used to tie his bow line to the bridge and surf HEL'L'HOLE all the time...

Anyone recall who that was?

Not a real longboat I suppose... but Roy Crimmins used to launch his Ocoee 2-3 feet clear of the water at a spot on the Wolf River up here called "Tea Kettle"

Big boat enders are still cool in my book...

On Goulds Bend, Obed would stand up OCAs I've got a 35mm pic of an Encore standing about 8 ft straight up. It was similar to the place on the upper Ocoee but easier to get into.
