The Ocoee hull is symmetrical.
("Awl saim bak tu frunt" as k-boaters would put it.)
I know this, because I tried turning around and facing the other end. I missed eddies with the same ease as t'other way.
The only problem with turning around was that I started at the take-out, and ended up at the put-in.

Ocoee pedestal
John: I have outfitted quite a few. I usually place the spine of the paddler 7 inches behind the center (Mikey gave me the dimension) . Thats usually just the edge of the backrest of the pedestal. That puts the boat neutral.
