Any big people paddle an EZG 60

Post by dhumphrys »

Hello,

I am looking at outfiiting a EZG 60 as a c1. I am 215 lbs. Any thoughts on how this boat will do both in bigger water (Ottawa River) and as a park and play c1.

Also any bigger people have any suggestions for C1's for someone in my weight. I had a Big EZ but find I am a little heavy for it. I would like something with a little more volume to it.

Cheers

Dave

I am 215lbs, I have one I paddle k-1. It is great in a hole, but slow on a wave. If I am teaching or leading a trip, I have to be very careful how much gear I bring with me in the boat. A water bottle, pin kit, and rope will add enough weight to make the boat noticeably less fun. I bought a second one to convert, but I just can't bring myself to cut it at my thighs. I should be on the route 3 wave soon, and you can try it k-1.

I'm going to try a Dagger Redline. Haven't finished outfitting it yet. Never really got comfortable in a WS Score.
