Storage of OC's

Post by Paddler »

I've been a kayaker and C1er for a while now, but today I got my first Open boat, a Whitesell Whirlwind. I know with kayaks it's best to store them standing on their ends, but how should I store the open boat? Sitting flat on the ground doesn't sound good, so maybe on it's edge? Hanging by it's painters? Standing on it's end? Upside down? Any insight would be great.
The line will become apparent

I prefer upside-down on racks (level) out of the sun and other elements in a dry area.

if they aren't on my truck's rack, they are in my garage upside down resting on a rack on their gunwales. i do have my old town 169 hanging from the ceiling, but in the same position.

I hang mine by the grab loops from my garage ceiling.
