Now and again I scour the web and look at canoes from all around the world regardless of their intended use or origin to amuse and educate myself. There's just something so intriguing and interesting about the really old pictures to me. Maybe I'm just a bit nostalgic but the "canoe" truly is one of the worlds oldest vehicles and it has been used in one manner or another to move people and goods for centuries.
So... since there's apparently no water... even "down South" and we're entering those long cold months of little to no paddling for those of us that reside deep into the Northern Hemisphere let's see how many old interesting black and white images or vintage images of canoes we can find and post them on this thread.
I guess in the "big picture" this whole whitewater thing is still the new kid on the block.
