We were hoping to do a week long canoe trip in Australia in early Jan 2011. So far it looks like our best bets might be the the Nymbodia, Clark (in NSW) or Arthur Rivers (Tasmania).
Does anyone know what conditions are like on these rivers in Jan? We know that parts of NSW are currently flooded but not sure how this affects the Nymbodia and Clark, and if this might have improved by Jan. River guides have said the Arthur needs rain but not sure if January is going to have enough. Can anyone recommend shuttle services for these rivers (we won't have car)? Or are there any other rivers we should consider (we're happy to paddle up to class III WW)?
Thanks for any feedback
