to set my user profile to filter a specific forum member's posts?
It's so much work to do it myself.

Seems like the kind of thing one would pm an admin about rather than post publicly, unless the object is to be as tongue in cheek as the McG.
It AIN'T bent.

posted publicly because if there's a filter, maybe others would appreciate knowing about it as well. I call it a public service.
nothing tongue in cheek here.

Currently there is no "ignore" feature. This is for several reasons:
1) We've not really needed one; the community has been self-policing
2) We have cheap (as in free) forum software
3) I believe that in general everyone has something to add (and in the past folks have stuck to content)
4) We moderators / admins have to read all the posts, so we think y'all should too

This is something we (as CBoats.net staff, and the CBoats.net community) are clearly struggling with at the moment. There does not appear to be an "easy" answer (if someone has one, post here or PM me!!).

Please be patient with us as we feel / think our way through it and find some sort of resolution, permanent or temporary.

Thank you,
Keep the C!

ya'll dont need a filter. im not posting on cboats and "mingleing" with the crowd anymore. in reality...I get nothing from it other than laughs at the fact that I know how serious you all take this stuff. I'll tell u wut... I definitely learn nothing from it. the people i have to learn from hardly post for the same reason that I should refrain from posting... hardly any of you can relate w wut we are doing. Dime a dozen. that's clear.

So like i said... Ya'll can have ur forum back. Clearly I dont mesh with the 'cboats crowd'... I kind of knew this from the get go, except now I dont just represent myself. Ya'll r a differnent breed, and appreciate different things... I get that. Some of us were varsity atheletes in multiple sports... and the rest...JV, but probaby in the band. You can get back to talking about outfitting. Sounds exciting.

ur grown men. You could easily not read someones post....but you do...because you cant help it, because it brings life to what is otherwise bland. and you all know it. whether you admit it or not. Enjoy the water. Maybe the admins will even help me out and ban me so I cant possibly post. That would be best case scenerio for all of us.

so i might as well say it now... Sarah palin is a whoo-haa.
