Diesel 75 on the water

Post by Guest »

I paddled the 75 on the New River, Teeter Creek, and Laurel Creek this weekend and felt that it was definitely worth giving a review from a c-boater's point of view.
The outfitting needs special attention because the chines are located right below the knees. After trying different padding options I finally decided that gel pads work best.
I will rate on a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the best.
Secondary stability, boofing, resurfaceing on line, acceleration on a wave, rolling, sliding over holes, and stability in turbulance all merit a 10.
Direction change, and surface play is 8.
Initial stability, and start up speed is 7.
This boat has a planing hull but feels similar to a displacement hull in many situations. It does not like to stay in a hole and has a tendacy to bounce when you force it to do so.
This is only my opinion and you should always demo a boat before you decide on buying.
