Deadly Strainer at Palmer Rapids!

Post by RapidMediaTVGuy »

Not sure if there are many paddlers from Ontario on here but Palmer Rapids sees a lot of OC boaters so thought I should give the heads up that there is a RIVER WIDE strainer at the top of Jessups at Palmer Rapids. Scott put some pics up on the Rapid site - http://tinyurl.com/3dog4do

With the long weekend coming up they are hoping to have it gone but in case it isn't heads up! Please let anyone else that might be heading there know please!

THanks,

Thanks for posting. I hope someone can put a sign at the top to warn those who put in above and run without having a look.

Strainer at Palmer

Post by scottmacgregor »

Hi Doug,

I have a group there camping watching over it. Tomorrow if we don't get it out we will tape it all off, both sides and across the top if we can.

Our goal is to get it out before the weekend, for sure.

Way cool, Scott. Thanks for taking care of the river-running community in your area.
