I also have a question for him... why seal-launch downstream, when an upstream launch could have been (comparatively) gently ferried out to river right?

I Went big then went home. Actually, it just didn't occur to me. All I was thinking was downstream to my boat and paddle. Next time I'll adjust the footpegs.
