Rt3 Wave Black River New York Beta..?

Post by CraigS »

8) I'm coming out for a event Aug 28th and was wondering some C-paddlers impressions of this feature.... and where is a good place to camp//hang.

I already know about the AW Beta... I'm hoping for real world info... c-boat style.

Hey Craig,
Where I was there, late last August, Rt. 3 wave was too low. I'm not sure of what the level needs to be, but I would ask on Northeast Paddlers Message Board.

I camped just downstream from the wave on river left. There is a small park/parking lot, and we just hiked down to the river and camped there. Good pizza place in Watertown. Something about New York or Broadway Pizza, right on the strip.

Fly or drive?

Post by Sir Adam »

Are you flying or driving? If you're driving let me know (especially if you have some extra time...). I'm a few hours away and would be happy to show you the Hudson Gorge, or even the Sac (in a squirt boat?).

Thanks for the info.... I will most likely be there Aug 28th for Team Trials (if they are still having there??) Can someone put up a link for the Northeast Paddlers message board for me?.... I'm on overload right now. Thanks for your help. Adam if you are around I would enjoy boatin with everyone. Time is limited.... we will see.

Thanks!
Craig
