C-1 Necky Mission

Post by windowshade »

:D
Hi all,

I asked a few questions earlier about transforming a Necky Mission kayak into a C-1. Well, I've done it and it is a sweet boat! Not quite as fast my old Switch, but a lot faster than any sub-seven feet boats I've tried( Those of you who know me know I've tried a lot of boats...) It has tons more rocker and does not pearl! Very good seconday stability. Extremely comfortable, lots of room for thighs and feet. I got it done right the first time by having Tom Hewit, from Trailhead in Ottawa, do it personaly. Excellent quality job for peanuts! Anyway, I am very happy. I can be in the boat for an hour plus with no discomfort to my feet and no lower back pain, like I had with the kayak version. Spins like crazy, even on small waves, although I have not tried it river running because I am not good enough, confident enough yet. It is very easy to roll. I recommend it, even with my limited experience.

Cheers,

Paul
