It may fade... but will likely reappear whenever it gets wet.
I've learned (the hard way!) to only do seams when it is VERY dry out, and I try and let them cure 2 weeks or more (yes, it is tough to wait!)
I would keep it dry, see if it fades, and see how it goes. If the results are less than you are willing to accept, sand and recoat. Annoying, but not the end of the world. Easier than redoing the entire seams though!

Nice! Don't sweat the seams as long as the are firm and water tight your good. Worse case do a gel coat on them.. but i think it looks good as is in the water.
As for the hits... get it on to get down is what its about! I've seen folks spend hours just watching zombies in the circle!
Keep us posted on how it goes..... now I need to do some work on Mike's old master cut! Humm........

Well I couldn't live with the grey and splotchy seam line so I taped it off today and rolled on a healthy layer of bedliner.
love that stuff. So, it's dry and looks great now with a little built in bump/scratch resistance.
On another note, a guy I boat with just got his first squirt boat. It's a buttboat but at least I've got another zombie in training to roam with.

One thing I found that helped me leverage my boat better was to go to a 9" wide saddle and undercut the lower part to allow ankle room. This gives your backside a wider base which helps with stability and takes a LOT of pressure off your knees. Feels a lot less like sitting on a rail. If you can relax and feel comfortable, it will help move that 3-D pivot point a little lower which will give you much more control when you engage your edges.
It's been way cool to watch your progress through all this, gives me the fever. I've still got one of my old designs but I loaned it to a friend a couple of years ago (tumor in my left hip left me with some issues). Maybe I'll borrow it back this spring and see if I can handle it. Anyway, looks like you're hooked. Your other boats should last longer now 'cause you'll be driving the new low rider. Enjoy!

It was a Superbat cut down past the wings. It was one of Jesse Whittemore's Aramid Chargers. I cruised it a lot and finally pretty much toasted the stern. I split it apart but did a design of my own and never put this one back together. I gave Eli the parts a few years ago, he may know what became of them.
