there is no problem in wearing monthly and daily lenses, but you will have to go and have two separate fitting/trial/test period and examination to make sure that your eyes will be ok with them, it all depends on weather they are comfortable and your eye accepts them.
Your optician can order daily disposable lenses ranging from 4 to 96 in a pack and they generally last a while, I get a 96 pack, so some of them are sat there for 3 months and they are still ok.
There are also good places you can buy them off the internet if you know your prescription
If you were wearing both then yes it would be expensive,
It would be interesting to see how much difference there is in price between monthlies and dailies!
