Ok, I KNOW there are more folks coming as suddenly A LOT of campsites in the aforementioned range have been mysteriously booked

SBroam and I (and Kenneth) will be at site 77, pulling in Friday evening.

Thursday night I'll be crashing somewhere on the way south...I vote we rendezvous at PS Composites at a set time, to be determined when we get closer, for Friday. Right now it looks like Friday's boating will be on the Cheat, as that really sounds ideal for us:)

Saturday meet times as above.

Right now I'm bringing:
Maven (mine)
Maven (demo)
Master Cut Acrobat
MAYBE the Oxygen
Either the Wheelboy and a duck or possibly the Tomahawk

PAC, his daughter & I have site 75. I reserved the site from Thursday through Saturday night.

Set a time & place to meet & I'll be there.

If you only have room for 3 squirt boats, you could bring the Oxygen. I'm bringing my master cut Acrobat. Although it doesn't have beavertails & is way ugly  , you're welcome to paddle it.

We'll see:)

Thankfully squirt boats are thin, eh? 8) . I can usually fit 5 boats on without a problem on my car (we MAY take Kenneth's if his wife decides to join us...), though it will look pretty funny if I bring the Tomahawk (ok, so it looked pretty funny two years ago on the Tohickon with the Wheelboy, Descender, Czech, and Hornet on there...and three of those ARE NOT small boats :o

We have site 79 for Saturday night. Since we can't leave until Friday afternoon, we will most likely meet the group at the takeout on Sat. morning.
We are thinking about staying south (maybe as far as NOC) for the rest of the week if we can find people to paddle with. Anybody available?
Bringing:
Maven #3 ( 1/4 or 1/2 cut, not sure yet. Should have it done in plenty of time)
Oxygen (if I have room, open boats take up alot of space)
Zoom
Blast

Ginger Ale and Barbeque Sauce?

I'm taking orders for Blenheims Ginger Ale (the spicy stuff) and barbeque sauce (mainly the mustard kind). E-mail me with quantities and and what interesting comestibles you'd be bartering... (I'll take cash, too, but trading is more fun).

ARMADA- Friday paddle

It looks as if some of you submariners will be looking for seams on the Cheat on Friday. For those of us who remain on the surface I was wondering if there is interest in running the Cheat. I have not done it but would love the opportunity as a good way to kick off the Armada weekend. Anyone coming who is willing to guide a few of us down the Cheat?

by old and in the way
I'm in, this will be my first Armada since making the original Concordia in '99. probably be camping with C1DUB.

I'll bring my Hooter and Wide Ride (there's a joke in there somewhere...)

I just checked out the water levels for the NB of the Potomac, and the level is really low, below recommended actually. Is the river still doable at this level?

I am just trying to decide whether it is worth the drive down from Toronto, and I am also trying to convince some of my friend to join, which might, at low water levels, be a tough sell.

Haven't booked a site yet, will do so early next week once I know if anyone is interested in joining me for the drive down. I can only make it for Saturday and Sunday. Is anyone paddling on Sunday as well? If yes where?

I can bring some the following boats, not all of then at once due to roof rack space constraints, so if someone is interested in trying a particular one, let me know:

Shaggy Sith (1cm cut, full length)
Drakkar Wheelboy
Robson Finkenmeister
Pyranha Prelude
Noah America C2

Martin,

There will be about a 1000 cfs dam release from Jennings-Randolph Dam. It is a US Army Corps of Enginees Dam at Barnum, MD. Saturday and Sunday. That is a real nice level for continuos Class II action, the whole way.
