nice surf, and nice feature...
can you also upload a couple of how you outfitted it, I have heard of different ways of people using the beam down the middle... just curious what you did. Dane outfitted one as a C1, but when I saw it, it merely had foot pads in it.
cheers

OK here's a picture

The outfitting is simple but works well. A foam centre member Keyed into the standard foam at each end and tall enough to lock under the deck rim at the rear. The centre foam member has a slot cut in it to accomodate the Jackson centre bar.
The lap strap runs on a small Aluminum plate under the foam and the bar.
The side mounts are way too flexible for side straps. However the Standard hip pads are retained by some strong Velcro, the pads themselves are sized by adding shims to get the fit.
They work well in C1 trim, they squeeze in really tight and have not moved yet while paddling. However they do make getting in and out of the boat easy.
I have used an elastic tie to the convieniently placed backback mounts to ensure they never get lost if and when the time ever comes to eject!
At the front end a piece of foam runs across under the deck and effectivley pins down the centre member, this has been shaped to allow my knees to fit in. The standard thigh brace tabs i thought i was going to have to cut out but they sit snuggly on top of my legs.
All in all the fit is superb, its the first boat i have done without the thigh straps i thought I could never live without, however the tabs do the job nicely.

Sorta, the center bar in mine kinda pushed the hull out some giving it a tad of a V shape.
I laid down 3 sheets of carbon on the bottom to try and stiffen and flatten it. I'm hoping the sand will be enough to get a nice uniform cure on the surface.
From there I have a couple ideas if the carbon works out. If it turns to poop then oh well.
