Paddle options
One other thought if you like some of the more creative or cutting edge Euro concepts, like the CRC or TE5, but are concerned about durability, is Mitchell, who seem happy to do custom shapes. I had them make a prototype paddle for me that used the advanced blade seen on the CRC slalom blade, but with a wildwater shape. Obviously, the Mitchell carbon over wood constuction is heavier than than foam core, but much more durable, in my experience. I've also had them copy an out of production blade shape to give me a matched pair, 1 hollow core carbon Euro original for racing big races/easier water, 1 carbon over wood core for training/racing big or rocky water and c-2. I don't know if they would do an exact copy of a currently produced blade, although the differences in construction alone might prevent any "copycat" claims. Just another option....edg
