Where the heck is this event taking place (be specific)?

Will I have fun in a 14 foot open boat or maybe in Keez Nitro if he lets me borrow it?

Will it be great for taking pictures?

Should I go on another road trip?

Will Crunchy be there?

Will I learn as many things as I learned at ALF 2008?

Please convince me!

Come on and rack up another border crossing!

Come on down!

Its a pretty wide open run, but a smaller boat will be more fun IMHO.

OK ... it will be one hades of a drive again roughly 500 miles or 800 km from my my place.

Long way to drive for 2 days of paddling but this would give me a chance to pick up a 60oz bottle on the way back for my step-mom. I need the brownie points for summer time as they are only 30 minutes from the Ottawa River!

I would be doing the cross at Buffalo, NY to Erie, PA down the I79 route.

Anywhere I could crash along the way?

I am in pending not getting trashed, sick, or worse dead between now and then.

Anyone from my neck of the woods interested in me tagging along with them for a ride?

This would be my 5th border crossing since last July which is more than I have done in the last 20 years.

Come on down....

cmnypny - come on down. The Armada is a bit different from ALF - based on what I read. Its mostly a weekend event with Friday AM being more on educational side trips (Backlund Paddles, PS Composites maybe Jim Snyder & his shop, possibily Skirtworks and the folks from IR might tag along as well). Friday afternoon is the Cquirt where C1ers get out their squirt boats for play time and sharing with others (usually worth a chukle or two as us squids make fools of ourselves  ). Sat is for the NPof the P a user friendly II+ that provides an oppertunity for everyone to meet other OC/C boaters and swap stories / boats. We hold it on the NBofP so that everyone is comfortable and has a good time. Dinner afterward is also fun - particularly if Big Al is with us and the Firetruck Parade is scheduled for that date (not sure as of right now if that is the case for the parade - Al will be with us - beware!! :) ).
Sunday is a draw as to other to dos - some paddle (ASCI www.adventuresportscenter.com looks to be in the mix this year based on interest), some visit other education sites, others just head home.
As for a place to crash and /or ride sharing. I'm not sure who is coming from CAN right now so maybe they can chime in and you can hook up with a ride. As for a place to crash I have room on the floor at the shack if you are coming in Thursday night (located near New Staton, PA). Friday AM we get up early and will be heading through Ohiopyle (maybe a Loop run) then PS Composites (Accident, MD) then the Cheat Narrows (Albright, WV).
Hope this helps and others please post as well. Paul C.
