Gail and Stew are not coming either.

But I know that Nancy, Gerry, Matt, Karen, and Hartley are making the trip and staying somewhere near Townsend.

First weekend & first of the week. Staying at the Knoxville West Motel 6, which incidentally has non-smoking king bedrooms for 33.99 + tax / nite.

hotel around the dinner bell were cutting people from ALF staying there last year a deal last year. About six or seven of them there. I would say you could match that price but the motel six is only about 12 miles away.

I'll be there

Post by Atucky »

My brother Phil and I will be there the first weekend staying at the Soaring Eagle Campground. Have already reserved a campsite.

I plan to come back on my own the following weekend and will stay with friends in Knoxville. Of course, if something good is running in WNC, I'll probably just stay at home in Asheville.

Greetings,

Since some people don't lile to put up their email or cell numbers in a public forum.

I am going to compile a list of who is coming and then send it out via email every few days as I get updates.

Could you please email me the following info:

1. Real Name
2. Nick name or cboats name
3. Cell phone number

Please email info to cmnypny at hotmail.com

I am also keeping track of where people are staying based on the posts in this thread.

Thanks

Harrison Metzger and Chris Clevenger, Cheoah, cell phone #s?

Post by boatbuster »

Harrison and Chris and several other open boaters from Asheville/Hendersonville area plan to attend both weekends. I don't want to speak for all the others, but I know of at least four others planning to come the first weekend, and Chris and I plan to come back for the second weekend.

We will be staying at Soaring Eagle, however we want to know if other boaters will be paddling the Cheoah on Saturday, March 14. If so, it would make sense for us to meet you there rather than coming all the way to Lenoir City on Friday night. We are interested in something farther west, Smokies or Plateau, on Sunday, Feb. 15, and wide open for the next weekend.

How about adding your cell phone numbers to this post so we can get in touch? Mine is 828.243.6066, however if you want to reach me before then to discuss the Cheoah trip, send me a PM and I will respond.

I'll be arriving at...

Post by Oci-One Kanubi »

...Soaring Eagle CG sometime late on Friday the 13th.

Will stay the entire long week, or not, depending on whether an expected new contract is signed by my employer in March or not 'til April. If we get the new job in March I will probaly be too busy to take the week off.

I will almost certainly be alone. Yellow Bell Prodigy X on the roof of a green Econoline with "KANUBI" tags. Haven't been boating enough lately, so will probably limit myself to Class III/III+ boating.

I'd be glad to double up with anyone on the cost of a campsite.
