Thanks for all the input. I think I'll pass on this deal.

Seems like flotation should be cheaper, lighter, and easier, sigh.

If anyone is looking for me I'll be out back modifying the aluminum Grumman to accept inner tubes better. (As it happens, my circa 1972 17 foot model STYLED the raging South Fork Shenandoah yesterday on a club trip. Well, okay, maybe "styled" is an exaggeration. Then again, all were impressed with our surfs and tanker-like eddy turns! (And the quantity of litter we hauled out of the river.))

I may have to break into diesel territory if I want to convert this one to pumps.
