I am not sure if I will make it down but dont worry ... I will still make up the contact list if I don't show up.

Regardless of what Louie says ... the contact list works great for the non-locals. Better then trying to get numbers in a parking lot making you feel like a bookie.

The locals don't like to be found out about due to the illegal activities of still producing liquids / meth labs / grow ops

I've got three of us planning on attending ALF, can someone please give me a hint as to where a majority of people will be camping? Contact info for reservation would be awesome.

A pretty good group of us stayed at the Sweetwater KOA (that is a link to their website for reservations). It was a decent place to stay. We either decided amongst ourselves where to go in the morning at the KOA (with a phone call to Louie), or we drove to the Lenoir City Shoney's to see what others were doing. Worked out nice.

i agree sweetwater koa is much better than the roaring eagle, but why don't we all just camp out in louie's yard? his wife can boil lard for our paddles etc.

Since it will take a few days for us to drive there and back, we're looking at being there to paddle possibly from Mon-Fri. Is that going to work or do most people paddle the weekends with only a few paddling during the week? We want to be there at the right time... so if the last weekend is the best we can work around that, just need to know. :)

This past time the race was the first weekend. We'll be there Friday night (3/11) and paddling Sat-Wed.
