Craig? Bob? Paul? Anyone know where this is?
I think you're talking about Canoes Suck, the infamous show them flip but not the roll video Jim Michaud told me about. Smerda linked to it before but I can't find it.

Youtube search canoes suck, I'd find the link but my employer frowns upon such indulgences

Funny thing about that cream ale...now I've forgotten.

Just kidding. I was just interested to see what people watched to see if there was any correlation in the quality of the film or the quality of the paddling. Meaning, really well edited clear video of Class III being more popular than shaky, blurred GoPro of the Green Narrows set to death metal, or vice versa.

Overall the videos that have been posted are great and I'm interested to watch a few after work.

For the record, the surf they show that paddler rip towards the end of the canoes not flipping segment is absolutely epic. Anybody tell what boat that is? Kinda looks like an ocoee

My 2 favorites are Open Boat Fun and Whitewater Canoeing. Both are real good. I also like some of PLG's videos of Louie and company.

Guess I'll have to watch them all and compare! There's quite a few listed that I don't think I've watched.

My faves:
Open Boat Fun
Whitewater Canoeing
Anything from "Milkman" (e.g. You're Going to Run that in a Canoe?"), becasue we have similar taste in music, and one day I might actually run those rivers.

Wayne's creek and destroys are among the best quality video for canoes on the net.... Although be lot of the lines aren't that smooth ;)

For me a good video is of good quality. Good boating and or entertaining boating. Good and comical "behind the scenes " stuff. And last but not least...good music that suits the video.

By the way... There are more videos out on the net than just those on you tube. A lot of the paddling world has made its way to Vimeo.

actually, some of the best may have been made before 'full' was born ;) the long boats are way more fun to watch and the skill to paddle them as well.

I like the 'soul boater' vids much more than the 'hey look at me/my boat' vids, ones without an agenda other than to capture the moment and convey it to me. The Dog River 5 part series has been my all time favorite. Another quality I like is to see is a variety of paddlers and boats being featured, a reason the C&D ones are low on my list. The Canoe Movie rocked in that regard.

Anything the Milkman delivers.

Most of my favorites have already been mentioned in this thread. I really like two non-cboat related vids. First, the infamous Ode to the Club Boater. (For the record, I am a proud "club boater"). It has some great carnage. I can only hope the same guy will eventually do a version with canoes.

National Sucking at Kayaking Team Trials is another gem.
