I paddled one too. It's fast, maybe even faster than a Prelude. If it ends up being fast and stable, which the prototype was, it could be really special. Didn't roll it so I can't comment there
Comparisons are difficult and somewhat inaccurate at this stage in the game. Can't really compare a composite hull to a PE one.... one's obviously going to feel faster and more nimble.

How does it compare to the L'Edge?
- stability: primary and secondary?
Great primary, I havnt put the secondary to the hardcore test but felt good.
Ledge might excel on secondary,
Ledge's underchine sometimes catches on cross currents while I ferry, Phiend doesnt have that
- speed: a bit faster if I get it right?
Felt that way
- acceleration
I felt the Ledge rides my bulk a little higher so gives me better excel, but i didnt have the boat long enough to gell the leeks and really test it out.
- turning
Short Viper, sounds good. Maybe a bit more rockered for faster turning?
Yes
it rolled faster than the Ledge but not quite as fast as the Detinator.
Keep in mind my reviews are from a bigger guy in class III with a well bumped glass mock-up. Remember how much the Ledge changed from prototype to plastic?
