I was talking a few weeks ago to a guy who works for this company. Apparently the applications and materials (ie plastics, metals, etc.) for this technology are virtually limitless. The aerospace industry is looking into huge machines that can turn out single piece titanium airplane frames.
Surely a canoe (plastic, titanium...unobtanium?) would be within the realm of possibility...
