I'm Gonna Talk To Richard and see if'n we can't make a Floater Class !
Thats the One I wan't to be In as I like to take My Time.
For me; boating brings me closer to to something divine, and in a open canoe I'm 8 Inches closer.

Is there a consolation prize for most swims? Like a pair of arm floaties or something? That's about all I could win.

If you swim across the finish line that counts as finishin.

But if your boat crosses ahead of you, which time do you take?
Boat or body?

I think you have your prize choice of a Slap Chop or a Snuggie

Sounds like we may be in the same group Sunday :)
Wish I could be there for it, but I won't be down there 'till middle of the week. Well, that's the plan. If there's a headwind, the squirrels that power the Mighty Vibe might get tired. Carting boats around makes 'em mad and headway gets tough. The canoes do act like sails, but there just isn't enough room on the highway to tack.

I think the snuggie would be the best choice of a prize - help warm yourself back up after all that time in the water.

LOST TRIBE!

Post by econpaddler »

The LOST TRIBE is coming to ALF! And it's payback time for the GDI
help on the Ocoee last summer.

We will be hosting a class II-III introduction Cumberland Plateau
paddling on the first day of ALF, Saturday, March 13. Depends on
weather (some tribe members not geared up for cold weather), and on
water levels. Details later, but right now thinking of Clear Creek,
Jett-Nemo. Might put some on easier I-II section Barnett-Lilly.

We have even found some new boaters, and at least one canoeist-
turned-butt-boater who is returning to the superior single-stick status,
who are planning on being there.

Come join us if that's the way you want to start ALF.
