Blast v Nitro

Hey Andy,

The Blast isn't my preference for a playboat, she's aircraft carrier large but doesn't have what I'd consider a real stability improvement over the Nitro. Unloaded she's corky for lack of a better term, she really does need 300 pounds in her to sit properly, lighter and she bounces around more than the Nitro. Being smaller the Nitro responds better to body english, the Blast starts to dominate. I know the lack of confidence feel, and the Blast will still have some of that.

I have twin pumps in the Blast but with all her depth and flare it takes a dam large wave to fill her. I can't get her to roll, so just rigged mine with knee straps. My current generation of pumps is a fairly easy retrofit using twin Mayfairs and a LiION battery. I'm working on adding it to a bulkhead saddle right now, and will post photos for both styles when done.

The Raven is worth looking at if you want something more forgiving than the Nitro but with fun playability. I can't really modify our demo to play it as much as I'd like, but I have thought long about selling the Nitro and switching to the Raven. I like the Nitro in tight areas, but get slapped too much in confused waves where the Raven is oh so much better. Of course pride makes me want to conquer the lack of confidence I have in some spots.

Would put reviews up on the site, but just don't have time. It does take a while to get the photos, feedback, etc together. Cboats is actually better than what I'd write, except that I put the specs and detailed photos up.
