Mountain Lake Campground

Post by Riverscout »

OK...I think I have e-mailed/messaged everyone who has expressed interest in camping with the group at Mountain Lake. If I missed you or you are planning on staying with us, please e-mail me your name so I can give it to the campground. This will help with the check-in since people will be arriving at different times. Check in is after 2:00 and we are in Area 2 Site #231. The majority of the group is probably going to arrive a little after 8:00 since we are paddling the UY tomorrow.

Hey Folks,

I trying to follow this thread, but it seems like a lot of people are paddling the Lower Gauley on Saturday? If so, we are people meeting and what time? I may be able to come down for the day and want to try and hook up with some Cboaters.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Thanks Don!

Are you the Don that is friends with the Ratliff's? They mentioned that we should try to hook up for a paddle.

I got a few phone numbers from some folks who are all meeting up there, Paul (PAC) and Mic (Mr Tgrips) gave me there cell phone numbers..Is this all one merry group I assume?

I will be looking for everyone, if you see a tall goofy guy with a modified yellow Occoe with wood trim on his shoulders looking for friends, thats probably me..

Yes, I know Devin. Sounds like there will be many groups out there tomorrow. I only know of Colin for sure. We'll see...

I'm paddling my grey Atom. I'll have my Silver GMC Yukon. Probably have my son's yellow kayak, too.

Cool. I will keep my eye out. I am still debating on what boat to paddle, I was thinking the Ocoee, but I keep coming back to the Hahn....Decisions Decisions!!! Don't know what to do, I have only paddled the Hahn once on the loop, it was more stable than the Ocoee, but the C-1 concept is still a little creepy..... :o
