Mark is director of information, for those of you that don't know this. He did put out the only GDI news letter.
I forgot about that newsletter...man...it was the precussor no I didn't misspell that one...to the internet boards ...there was some def clowning on that one...I made fun of me running ditches even back then and Standingman's heavy use of Duct-tape drysuit gaskets...even made fun of Jim Little being Louie's illegitimate son. I think even Chota got slapped around on it...I think that was around the time Bailey got caught on film making fun of them and have to give a public apology and I made sure to rub salt in the wound it was always good to get one on Bailey.

Louie I might have a copy of it that you gave me...my ex burned the original and my First D pics and notes...go figure : )

it was the birthday invitation to my 30th ...we rented Jim Little's Dad bar...and closed it to the public...that was the night we raffled off Louie's paddle Frasier found on Overflow and rigged it to where Louie's ex won it...we got Louie good. :)

The old Dagger gang showed up...10 years later I ran into one of the Rose brothers and all he could talk about was that party even 10 years later...the bar ran out of beer...I was told we had a good time

Standingman wrote:Fred welcome, I have confidence in my vote. Although I do have some suggestions. Mark is director of information, for those of you that don't know this. He did put out the only GDI news letter. Dan and Chris should change. Dan's appropriations are more in line with GDI. Thanks Louie for my 25%. 8)

I say combine, make Dan- VP of Logistics and Appropriations.

I prefer a more made up title like VP of Excellence. 8)

Also I nominate Dooly as P.R. Director

I didn't include you in the slam, you just had a guilty feelin and figured I was talkin about you. So none of the "I'm sorry" was ment for you

Mark I wouldn't worry about the officer talk too much. I am sure we can exspect the same level of involvement, drive, organization, clear thinking, and good decision makein we could count on by all the past officals of the club....if not less. I will do my best to make sure my efforts decline if not remain the same.

Okay, this is how I see it after discussions

GDI Board Positions (Subject to change or just being ignored)
Jeff and Alex – Co-Presidents
Louie – Director of Initiations and Social Director (They go together)
Dan – VP of Logistics and Appropriations
Chris – VP of Excellence (Not sure what it is, but there you go)
Cumnock – VP of IT
Dooley – VP of PR
Chad – Director of Instructions (If you can keep up)
Paige aka Louie’s Baby Doctor – Chief Medical Officer for Kayakers
PLG – VP of BS and Chair of the Rules Committee (Oh no, we’re all gonna die)
Richard G. – Director of R & D
All other Members – Trustees (Not the type on work release)

The new GDI motto: Nunc Est Bibendum (Latin for Now it's time to drink)

Now all we need is a logo and some stickers and we could almost be like a real paddling club. Except we actually go to the river, don't pay dues, don't have meetings (too much like a 12-step program), find humor and don't panic watching members swim...I said almost.

Louie, true to form, has added Board positions. Granted, it's not that hard. One nomination=one vote. If the position is vacant or non-existant it is then created and filled.

Gigi - Alternate Medical Officer
Martine - Director of Transportation
Andrew - GDI Ambassador to Canada
Roy - GDI Ambassador to Wisconsin (Apparently it's a different country)
Pyscho - Official GDI Co-Historian (Confused, we only have one co-historian)
Tera - Head Nurse

Allright...

What is a colest? Did you mean closet or colon? As VP of BS, I have heard a lot of your stories and think the latter may be more appropriate.
