L'Open vs. L'Decked

I just spent another day in the ledge at the gatineau.
re slippery deck, didn't notice that, but i find after a short time the wax from my paddle gets on the spot on the deck where i put my hands.
-definitely deckless for me. the ledge is so dry i rarely had water landing on the deck.
-stability- wicked, i can paddle it easily on the fw, sitting up on the back deck.
-speed-carries it's speed through moves/waves really easily, guess i'm used to plowin' water.
re weight of paddler- dooley is a fairly big boy, ask him how it handles. it is a very wide boat so it has lots stability for heavier paddlers.
