I have to be fair to my wife - the other day I started a conversation with "I need to talk to you about something ...". Her immediate reply was "You're buying a boat?" without the slightest concern or disapproval. Unfortunately the topic was the septic tank...

Looking at the boat counts that many of you have, makes me think that this may address the issue raised in another post about the relatively low numbers of canoeist- it is clear- You all own all the dam boats out there!!!, so the supply is limited because most of them must be collecting dust!
I only have 4- and really only paddle one with any regularity.

I loan my boats out to butt boating friends ALL the time and I hope others do as well. Most kayakers and rafters are interested in trying C1ing mostly because it looks so cool and badass, so share the love and encourage everyone to give it a try. Thats the best way in my opinion we can spread the sport. I had to teach myself how to roll and how to paddle C1. My Gyramax and ME are almost never at my house.Brendan wrote: You all own all the dam boats out there!!!, so the supply is limited because most of them must be collecting dust!![]()

Lets see...
K-1
Pyranha 420
Pyranha small Rev (the wife's boat)
Pyranha Burn
Pyranha Ammo
Pyranha Speeder
Pyranha Stuntbat
Phoenix Match
New Wave Shred
Maelstrom squirtboat
Mystress squirtboat (prototype)
Neither K-1 or C-1 (doesn't have any outfitting)
Pyranha Karnali
OC-1
Pyranha Spanish Fly (chopped 18")
Blackfly composite prototype
Blackfly- plastic- 7 of those, but I'm not sure if they really count. Really only one is "mine," one is a demo, and the others are being sold.
C-2
Composite end-hole C-2 of unknown make/model.
15-21 total, depending on how you count.
Can you guess who I'm sponsored by?

I have one boat for every kind of boating I do. Anything more is just useless cause you're always going to use the best one you have for the occasion. Some of you guys may have a problem.
Most notably Louie.

You know what they say about guys with long boats.............. I have a 16 footer!
Down from 5 at one point to 2 right now. Divorce, GF, and my daughter have shifted priorities a little bit. Still have my 17' flatwater canoe for family/camping type stuff and a Cascade for when I have a free weekend.
If all is right with the world (and Obama doesn't rip me a new one) come spring I might just have to try out one of those new plastic OC1s coming out.

Forgot, old style Russian made paddlecat, frame out of lightweight aluminum tubing, airtubes handsewn, external coverings of the airbags made out of a type of canvas. Most uncomfortable boat i ever paddled. dale

I know I'll miss some... and I don't recall how many I have now... not enough?
Mind you these are for "the boatable museum".... Total appears to be 32, unless I find another one hiding out on the rack;)
C1
Acrobat (master cut)
Acrobat (standard cut)
Atom
Bala Wildwater (I KNEW I'd miss one)
Blackwater
Cascade
Centaur
Czech
Descender
Edge
Fanatic II
Groove
Groove (plastic Riot prototype)
Gyra Max
Hahn
Hornet
Maven
Maven (demo...someone down south has it right now I think...)
Mentor 1
Mentor 2
Oxygen
Sage (no longer boatable... too many cracks)
Slasher
Sith
Viper
Wheelboy
C2
Tomahawk
Others
Tomcat D2 (ducky)
NRS Bandit (ducky)
Sawyer Champ? (18' open boat)
Wenonah Advantage
16' Wood stripper OC1 (old marathon boat)
I'm hoping to trade one of the Mentors for a Meltdown (we've been trying to make that happen for a little while now), and am looking to complete the list of boats designed as rec. C1's (Amoeba, a Pagan and Jedi one of these days, not to mention Aerobat... and Ceemweaver:) ).
I've actually gotten rid of a few boats the past few years to make room...Batmax and Gemini V to good homes, as well as a certain pink Noah Aeroquatic C1:)
Anytime someone wants to try them out...they're here!

1 Pyranha Burn 255 (thanks to Larry)
1 Finkenmeister
1 New Wave Frachella Viper
1 New Wave Extrabat
1 Drakkar Wheelboy
1 Hyda Duet C2
1 Vajda Lizard 355
1 Dagger RPM (wife's)
1 Jackson Sidekick (wife's)
They are all getting used (although the Pyranha Burn, Drakkar Wheelboy and Vajda Lizard get used way more often than the others). The Finkenmeister was used only once this year and is being retired for parts
. I am thinking seriously of a Liquidlogic Remix 79 when the Burn wears out.
