Darn! Wish I could go but can't make it this year. Maybe next year. Hope you all have a wonderful time.
For future reference KNeal I'm a bow righty . . .
For Sat the 23rd, are we still meeting at the change house at 9:30 to run shuttle and a 10-11am put-in? I have 2 extra launch permits I'd part with for 3$ each plus a micro brew at the take out. Lookin forward to all the crowded eddies and potential carnage(probably mine)
As of right now I know of one switch hitter that will be showing on Sun AM (~9AM) for Tandamnation! She's a newer C1er and can paddle lefty or righty so if you're there earlier look for Laura (Lindsey). C U there!

The rangers have become a little more flexible with put-in times so I wouldn't worry too much. We'll do whatever it takes cause we'd prefer to all be together. I'd like to meet at 9:30 at the change house parking
lot to assess #s and organize shuttles even if we end up putting on later than planned.
I have tickets for 12 on Sunday.
Walt and I will be there near 11 as best as I can tell and we will see if we can get on earlier. We will be doing the loop, I seem to remember making that last four or five hours.
Walt and I brought up the rear guard Sunday. We put on at 12:30 missing the lead off boaters by an hour and a half. We played the loop till 4 in our C2, and even after a year hiatus paddling together we were getting better than last year. Surfing was great at Entrance, Cucumber and Railroad and probably a couple other places that I don't remember. We got a good pop up ender at the left chute in Walrus or maybe that was Camel. We ended up having to chase the boat down river after Railroad due to a miss communication on our only combat roll in a lowly surf wave at the bottom. We had the good help of some other boaters to get it to shore 500 Yds down stream below the bridge.
Met a new aspiring C1ner along the way who had just bought a nice looking lime green Atom C1. Andy I believe is his name and I mentioned this site so perhaps he will show up with new tales of the trials c boating.
We met up with Paul at the Brew Pub and recounted the days and weekends adventures.

Nice to meet you (again?) Kathy, and WELCOME to the forum!
You can always give a shout out when you are paddling if you need some other OC or C company. Most of us don't bite and those that do have been vaccinated.
