A better question: What boat do you paddle 90% of the time

Ya know... I'd probably buy a ticket just to see Louie's reply to that and the spectacle I would assume that would follow... I truly mean no offense, but I probably would :)
I'd happily tell Louie where he could put his odd brand of elitism, (I'd say that would be a good time to get some popcorn and a coke for whilst you're in front of the computer)... He might have made a name on it, but hasn't cornered the market on running his mouth on the internet!

Since Louie cannot post on Cboats - and I generally have the same viewpoint in many regards - I shall post in his absents in regard to this quote - I make it short and simple..

The reason why you see the large majority of people posting about openboats and paddling open-boats > 'wearing a dress'....is because...well isn't it obvious? The Tide has turned! Canoeing's day has come! Many have seen the light! They have told their brothers, sisters, dogs - about 'the light' - and masses are now shedding their dress wearing ways(1 blade or 2 blade) - and heading to 'the light'

Rejoice my brothers.

I do not believe that 'he who shalt not be named' would be upset that we are speaking his name in his absents - but rather - not speaking up in regards to one of the core values he has instilled in this world of ours - that shalt not wear a dress.

Off topic I know and maybe none of my business but why can Louie not respond on this forum?

really just want to know how not to be kicked from this forum if that is what happened. This site is how i learn the ways of the enlightened people.

BTW i'm not a convert.

Being on the edge, and speaking the truth will get you gone - just like that - regardless of what you have done for the sport. It cutthroat around here - Just try to blend in - no radical ideas - agree with whatever anyone says - and whatever you do - do not be bold - Not unless... you want....the guillotine...

Tommy: Eddy Izzard is bloody hilarious... and a Rugby Player in a tutu is still a [likely drunk] rugby player 'Nuff said.

Now i'd be much obiliged if you'd stop harping on about spraydecks as if:
  1. They're actual Skirts,
  2. It would matter if a man did choose to wear a skirt,
  3. Anyone really cares that much so long as people have fun on the river.
:P

Edit: If your prescription was a case of PBR, then you need to drink some proper beer (or go hard and grab the Tequila)!

Edit to Edit: C-boats does not endorse bouts of heavy drinking as a cure for not going paddling;
I personally however find the results of people using such cures hilarious at times though; long may it continue!

Here's the short of it - all opinions regarding boats, paddling technique, and YES, even (dare I say it) ADHESIVES are welcome, and searchable I might add.

Abusing other folks on the board, name calling, excessively foul language will get you 1) a warning, 2) more warnings, and eventually 3) you will be banned from the board.

No censuring of ideas here, we just ask folks to respect their fellow C-boater brethren.

No problem speaking Louie's name here, he's done a ton for the sport. Due to his intentionally breaking (not bending) of the forum rules (which are fairly simple) he is no longer on this board. I believe he can be found over on Mark Cumnock's excellent site Waldens Ridge, which like the FullGnarlz forums are linked to in the "Paddling Links" section.

This horse is dead and has been beat excessively.
Keep the C!
