Mohawk thigh retainer
by Brian Jones
What is the best method to secure a mohawk thigh retainer to a W.S. Z hull. Also...is contact cement the best glue to use for securing foam, and should I use only a little glue on the saddle in case I don't like the position?

I believe the only thing that's going to hold the thigh retainer to that kind of plastic is bolts through the hull. For foam I use weldwood contact cement, not the water based stuff but the flammable stuff. In my Z I used a dagger console with thigh straps bolted from the console to the thigh brace holes along side the cockpit. The Z is a fun boat. Let us know how the thigh retainer works out.
