Lower Madawaska Warning!

Folks,
The Lower Mad has risen SIGNIFICANTLY over the last week. It is presently at +/- 200 cms. Last night at the first set of rapids (Hass Hole/Island Rapids) we spotted an unidentifiable object swirling in the far river left eddy...over by the other hunt camp. Before we could get to it it moved downstream and we last saw it at the top of Dog's Leg. (We were just playing at Hass so didn't follow it down past Big Mac, a fun high water play hole just downstream of Hass)
It looked like a dock or tin boat sized object. Certainly big enough to be a hazard should it become lodged somewhere downstream. PLEASE use caution if running this River right now. A rapid that you know MAY have changed as a result of this object being in the River.
