T-gripper sightings
by Brettal
Took a trip to the Deerfield (Fife Brook section) today, 5 folk in the group (1 C1, 1 OC1, 1 OC2, and 1 SOS), and we saw other C-paddlers! Two guys who were together, didn't catch their names, paddling a Cascade and an Atom to match the Gyramax and Encore in our own group. Good to see some T-grippers mixing it up with the mosquitos who infest the river.

Quick story: In the eddy right below the first nice wave, I was approached by a random yakker and complimented (on behalf of all C-Boaters) for being all flexible and able to paddle with half a paddle and all that good stuff; of course, I promptly flipped on my second surf attempt, and had to rely on the aforementioned yakker to retrieve a shoe and my paddle (which had slipped from my hands prior to flipping). Ahhh, irony.
