booster 50 C1: quick review
by James
I tried out a riot booster (50, the smallest one) as C1 a couple of weeks ago, here is a quick review. I'm 175lbs, 6 foot, intermediate freestyle paddler.

Booster:

outfitting/ fit: fairly low deck, so fitting in your legs may be an issue if you have big legs, more of a problem than the riot tekno I usually paddle.

performance holes and waves: in one word, great! this boat is stable on end, good primary stability too, so setting up for moves is pretty easy. cartwheels very smooth. quite loose for spins

performance running river: I had it trimmed a little stern heavy, and the stern would catch occasionally. If you are going to do quite a bit of river running, go for a larger size booster based on your weight.

Overall, great beginner- intermediate and beyond playboat. Need a bigger size to make a solid river runner. Flatwater moves quite easy. This boat does not have kick rocker, so will not make the latest aerial moves easy to learn, but for general fun freestyle paddling, great boat.
