I like to ....

Be perfectly trim to slightly stern heavy. This seems to work well for my paddling style. I don't like to bow stall on a difficult drop.
Make your saddle adjustable until you determine what works for you.

Yough and gauley

Bernie,

I will be at the Yough and Gauley the weekend after the fest, could you meet and we could C-1 together. I'll be coming from Vermont which is a 12 hour drive so I'll be arriviing at the Yough Friday am. Then I'll do the Gauley Sat-Sun, I outfitted a Z with your method and use Northwater rodeo straps.
