Best C1 boat for conversion?
by Kevin Kevin
OK- here I am on the darkside's forum (don't tell my boats!) I'm sure that you get this question pretty frquently but...
I'd like to get into C1 but am pretty confused with what a decent boat to convert would be. I've paddled oc1 (Viper 12), c1 forplay and c1 z and really like the challenge. I want a boat that I can play with and push my skills not a boat that is "stable and easy to learn in." Preferably something that I can pick up reletively cheap and then modify. What are some good options? Are there specific traits that I should look for?
Thanks!
Kevin in DC
My stats:
6'2", 175 10.5 feet (skinny legs)
aggressive, experienced paddler but neophite C-boater

I like the AMP/Shock

They have some speed and throw ends really easily. I have a shock that is comp. weight and an AMP that I could sell you for 500. Both boats are in great condition and will push you. The shock was used in the world free syal champs by Luke Hopkins, so you shouldn't find anything much more aggressive.
