Gauley Armada info (last post)

The Gauley Armada weekend is just a few days away and it looks like there will be anywhere from 10-15 c-boaters paddling the Lower and Upper. This should be a GREAT weekend! I plan on reserving 2 sites at Battle Run campground for Friday and Saturday nights. If you have not received an e-mail from me yet, then I need to hear from you by Thursday night if you plan on paddling and staying at the campground. One recommendation for dinner on Saturday night is a Mediterranean restaurant near the strip mall in Summersville and unless there are other suggestions, I plan on eating there.
Let me know if you will need help getting to any of the Gauley takeouts. For Saturday, I will be at the truckstop on Rt. 19 which is right across from the road to the Upper Gauley putin (Rt. 129?) and leave there to go to the Lower Gauley takeout by 9:30. Meet me there if you want to follow me.
The itinerary will remain the same, so plan on bringing money for the shuttle services ($10 for Sat. and $5 for Sun.). I am anticipating the weather to be quite cool (ideal for Canadians, eh?), the water to be chilly, and the possibility for rain. Bring the appropriate cool weather/cold weather gear for on the water and off the water. Boy, the hot showers at Battle Run sound really nice, even now!
E-mail me if you haven't and are going.
