Anyone ever convert a Necky Jive to c-1?

I need a bigger boat and want to convert a Jive. Just wondering if anyone knows if it has a wide enough cockpit for a c-1???

looking for a boat that is a great surfer, long enough to be fun even on a flat water river, but a good ww river runner. I think the Jive 8'4 or 8'10 would fit the bill.

Any opinions?

If your not a fat boy...

Necky cockpit openings are narrow at the front. A buddy converted a Rip. He's not a fat boy like me. I lifted the right side of the rim to squeeze my fat right thigh in. Then lifted the left side of the rim to squeeze my fat left thigh in. No straps needed the way I was wedged into that little sucker.

I think the Jive would make a fine C-boat for a skinny fellow (or chick), as the hull is wider than the Rip. The Rip is pretty squirrely on flatwater, but amazingly stable on the wave.

Just my fat 2 cents worth.
