Ottawa area C1 oufitting
by Al Al

I`ve seen some pretty slick C1 outfitting up on the Ottawa and the Gat. This outfitting had a little brand mark on the comfy back rest of the seat. Sorry I can`t remember your name, who is this person that has taken C1 outfitting to a new level???

I`ve been paddling OC1 and want to get into a C1 over the winter. But I`m looking for some help with the outfitting or to have someone do it for me.

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

sounds like me

If this brand looks like an e with a circle around it, you would be looking for me. I would be more than happy to help you with or do your outfitting.
e-mail me.

That be it!!!

Hi Jonathan, That be it!!! What is your Email? Mine is elizgrev@enoreo.on.ca. Now I just have to get a boat, I`m looking at either a EZ (big) maybe, or Ace 4.7 or 5.1. Whats your thoughts on these boats or do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks Al

If you're in the Ottawa area and wanna see Jon's outfitting....

Just drop me a line! I'm ALWAYS KEEN to go boating! Jon was a big help putting mine together. (Thanks Jon!)My boat was the guinea pig for some of our new ideas. But so far the outfitting has been great! We learned a lot and I have since made a few mods to it....his brother's boat turned out REALLY well. Jon is really good with tools and is a true perfectionist. You'll be very happy with it, I'm sure.

Sorry you couldn't make the Ottawa River trip with Gerry on Thanksgiving....your wife paddled very well. We had a tonne of fun. When is it your turn to go paddle?

I can let you try an Ace 4.7 C1 if you wish. I've got a demo K1 that I can tweak to C1 in about half an hour. Depending on your weight and objectives either boat will be excellent. If you are heavier (over 170 lbs) the 5.1 or Big EZ will be a WAAAY better river runner choice. But if you wanna be Johnny Throwdown then go smaller...The EZ series is better on a wave but the Ace series is probably one of the smoothest cartwheelin' boats I've ever paddled...so it's up to you. Just my 2 cents

Hope to see you on the river soon!

Kalin.
