It's not that I don't want to support our local paddle shops, but I've been looking for a cheaper source for minicell out here in the Northwest. When I mention "minicell" to people in the foam business I don't have a lot of confidence that they know what I'm talking about - at least that is the impression I get. Can anyone tell me specifically what I should be asking for when I talk to these people?

If you want a lot of foam options, check out kayakoutfitting.com, if you want just large bats, order from John Sweet (links from CBoats home page.) Good prices, good people. Local paddling shops tend to make a lot of $$ on rather small pieces of foam (minicell, or closed cell as it's also known).
