Has anyone used a Dagger Centrifuge as a playboat? Is it good, bad, etc? It would be my first playboat for C-1. Its either this or a LL Pop and I know how the Pop performs. Thanks

...Great river running playboat

I paddled a Centrifuge C-1 and liked it a lot. Because of its size (it's relatively large, compared to a Pop) it's a very fast and stable river running playboat. It's comfortable in big water, is an excellent surf boat, and carves real eddy turns because of its distinct rails.

The slicey ends are great in a hole or eddyline, but at 180 lbs, I found it difficult to perform flatwater moves. Appreciated the full sized Dagger cockpit - very comfortable on the legs and ankles.

There are much better hole boats out there, and the Pop in probably one of them. Not sure whether you're looking for a dedicated rodeo C-1 or not, but given the understandable trend towards 'all-river', free-boating playboats, the C-Fuge is a good choice.

Drop me a line if I can help any more...
